Here it is casual autists, the secret to beating zarya:
1. Run circles around her at mid-close range. Her pipebomb-like shots are worthless at that range, forcing her to use her shitty laser
2. Don't shoot her while the barrier is up. This prevents the laser from doing any real damage if it even hits you for any length of time assuming you followed step 1
3. Shoot her when barrier is down. This will force her to give ground. Effectively winning the fight.
alternative rules for team fights:
1. Shoot whomever doesnt have a barrier. Zarya is a shit tank if you don't actually fall for the barrier. Her damage is subpar if you dont charge the barrier either
2. Force her to use her barrier then switch targets. This works for her ally barrier too. Best to force her to use it on some faggot hanzo player or whatever, then you murder the cumguzzling mercy while the shield is on cooldown

While there isn't a direct "fuck you Zarya" hero besides maybe Reaper she's pretty mediocre if the enemy team plays around you.
You require a team that engages so you can bubble them, and your own bubble can only work in situations where you're about to take damage, as any skilled player will know to stop shooting as soon as you bring it up, it's mostly good against Pharah and Winston, and perhaps Roadhog as well.
You need a lot of map awareness and game sense to pull her off right, shielding the right target at the right time can be hard if shit is going down.
Still I find the best way to deal with Zarya myself is picking her and fighting Zarya v Zarya (and 99% of the times coming out on top).
I don't think she needs a nerf, but perhaps an adjustment to make her less viable in every comp that already has a tank and a healer.

In the beta her ult charge was much slower and Mercy gameplay consisted of charging your ult then waiting in the spawn until you had a chance to use it. Not fun, not great design, and not great for the game. Her ult needs to charge this quickly to be useful and for the hero to ever get picked.

Winston is the ultimate disruptor. He can lead the way for the rest of your team to make an attack and get through a chokepoint and immediately leap right out again.
All you have to do is use his leap to get him around the enemy team and then you can start being a real pain in the ass. Combined with his shield and ult he becomes even more of a nightmare to kill. People keep on trying to score kills with him which is the problem, once you start taking too much punishment just leap right out and get healed. Winston is like tracer on steroids, use him to disrupt and to make aggressive pushes. There's a reason he gets picked a lot in competitive play.

Mercy has no defensive capability, no offensive capability, and an ultimate that requires not only for her teammate to be DEAD but also within close proximity to her. The only maneuver she has is a fairly slow movement ability that carries her to a teammates position, the massive downside to this is that there are no I-frames, no defensive boosts, no nothing, you just travel in a straight line and are still easily picked off or jumped/dashed upon at your destination.
The downside here is pretty obvious, her teammates have to be dead, she has to get close, AND she has to stay alive. This isn't an easy task and I'd implore you to actually try playing Mercy and see how difficult it is.You only think she is overpowered because you're a fucking trashcan player who ignores her all game and doesn't realize you always go for the supports first.

No other character in the game can build it that fast without shooting their weapon. She's balanced because she can't escape without a teammates help so she's pretty easy to kill. Discord orb and good dps is all he has to offer, whereas Lucio can AoE heal, speed boost, knockback, be hard to hit and he has one of the best ultimates in the game. Zarya is literally the weakest Tank in the game. Rein, Winston and Hog all do everything she can do and do it better. Even D.va has more utility and lethality. The only Tank who she can outdamage is Winston. Everyone else, she has to be close to 100 Energy to match their damage, let alone surpass them.
Zarya's only positive is her Ultimate, one of the better ones for crowd control, but still not as great as many other characters. You're better off picking any offense hero. Hell, pick 76. His Biotic field is relatively the same in what it does for himself and allies, and he doesn't need to build up a dumb energy bar to make his Pulse rifle kick ass.

Mate Mcree is a 1v1 fighter and flanker, he is suppose to cover the back routes to so no one flanks his team and kill them. He is suppose to be the 1v1 god outside of tanks. It makes sense for Fan the hammer to be able to kill every hero besides on tanks. It only does 270 damage now if ALL SHOTS hit.
