They've kept to their proposed plans so far. Yesterdays patch added an open lobby, and shows potential for their open world project.

It's gonna fail, they trying to make a game that has everything without even being able to nail a single thing yet, combat is supbar, below mediocre. Art direction is bland, worlds are generic and lack real inspiration or knowledge on level design principles.
