Is this coming to PC or what?
Really makes you think...
>>342660009
Couldn't you simply emulate it?
>>342660009
Yes, they already said that 999 was getting a PC and Vita port eventually.
>>342660009
I find it odd the third game of a story driven series would come to any platform the first two weren't on, excepting generation changes.

Makes sense considering PC people don't really care about anything else other than having the supposed "best version of the game xD"
>Got this on the DS
>No way to speed up the text
I'm a fast reader, this shit pisses me off
I've just started playing this on my Android phone today (emulated). It actually plays pretty decently since you don't really need any physical buttons to play.
Didn't it get an ios port? How did it handle THAT part?
>>342660009
How would it do that last puzzle?
>>342661068
I played it on ds emulator and just press the faster frame rate button whenever I needed to speed anything up.
>>342661160
I think all the puzzles were cut from the ios port or something like that.
>>342661228
With your mouse and keyboard?
>>342661160
They cut out all the actual gameplay, so no escape rooms, just reading through the story. It's actually called 999: The Novel.
>>342660009
I believe Uchikoshi teased that 999 will come out on Steam using an image of the ship of the first game and stating "STEAMship". I'm really looking forward to the third installment in a few days.
For whoever's reading this and plan to play 999 for the first time, don't read any ports; play the original on the DS, or at least emulate it if you don't own a handheld. The puzzle portions of the game contain a lot of rich dialogue which contributes to the increasing suspense that makes the plot rewarding.
>>342660009
it already has, its called desmume

Oops, didn't mean to send that twice.
how likely do you think it would be for ZDT to get a "classic mode" where it's made to look like 999, with descriptions and 2D art?
maybe someone could even mod it since it's coming to pc. probably wouldn't be too hard, unless ZDT is dependant on the game looking the way it does for some reason.
>>342662675
0.1% chance for both
>>342660009
Yes, it has been since long ago through desmume.
>>342661068
Finish it first faggot.
>VN.
>Wanting to skip the text.
>>342660009
I'd totally play a new saga
>>342660268
even you kyle (you) when
>>342662920
slow text boxes when you're a fast reader is the greatest pain in the world
It was hinted at so probably.
>>342660856
Fuck off shitposter
>>342660273
It makes as much sense as Kingdom Hearts games being released onthe PS2 to the Nintendo DS to Xbox One.
Sometimes people play games on one platform and then play on another platform.
>>342661160
They just added extra narration to make it more obvious who was who.
>>342662920
It's not about skipping the text, it's that the text doesn't appear as fast as I read it.
If the PC port doesn't handle the dual screen aspect well you might as well just emulate it. Hopefully it will, though.
>>342661368
Would it hold up for vita?
>2016
>not owning the best handheld ever
just buy one, they're like 20 bucks or some shit
>>342661368
>>342664484
The narration issue is simple enough, but there's not really any way to give the same meaning to the final puzzle on anything but DS.
>probably wouldn't be too hard
>>342662675
You'd be reprogramming a significant section of the game. The game is built around in-engine cinematics; it doesn't have support for a visual novel-style text flags and bubbles. That's also ignoring that ZTD has none of the VN-style animations 999 and VLR had.
It'd take effort just to get a static model in front of an MS Paint-tier text box.
I guess I'll post this here
For anyone who preordered the watch version of ZTD, the watches got fucked in the initial shipment, so they are delayed. The game's are still good, and are gonna come on time.
On the bright side, they said they're giving all watch edition people an extra "bonus" of some sort with their watch, though what it is I have no idea.

Pretty based way to deal with it, even though it sucks that it happened in the first place.
>>342664614
Might as well get a 3DS.
>>342660009
emulators
>>342666338
You'll be getting a freeze bug.
>>342660009
Just fucking emulate it.
>>342662920
Is pretty funny that you skipped the text where that anon explained he is a fast reader
>>342664375
>>342668838
It's annoying as much, not a big deal like it's implied.
How do I dump it? My 3DS isn't hacked but I wanna help
>>342670827
Can you check your system version in System Settings (bottom-right cirner of top screen)? It all depends of that right now =)
>>342662175
But desmume isn't toaster-friendly
>>342660009
I played this one on release and i want to play the sequel now that is on sale but i don't remember shit from 999, and i really don't have that much time to replay it.
