Nothing, it's excellent and the last good RE game they made.

The 2006 Sourcenext version is excellent. High poly models, uncompressed FMVs, etc.
Only downside is it's Japanese and rare as fuck.

It wasn't a "real" RE game, it was supposed to be just a sidestory game and it shows
But it was made into the "official" RE3 for purely biz reasons

Finished too quick when I replayed it recently but apart from that it was solid, thick and tight like Jill.
At the time, it was my favourite Resident evil and probably second most replayed after 4.

I found Mr X was too weak and easy to deal with to be scary. Every time he showed up was a "oh hey, free ammo" moment.
meanwhile i still don't like trying to fight Nemesis outside of the mandatory clock tower and dead factory battles.

Get the Gamecube remake. Won't regret.
Had a really great open city apocalypse feel to it that no other game has really captured for me other than Yakuza.
But as a Resident Evil game it was far too actiony, and probably what led them on to Resident Evil 6 being so far removed from what Resident Evil once stood for.
