Shit man, I probably had about 1000 creatures made back when there was only the creature creator demo.
I was hyped as fuck, even after I saw they changed the artstyle completely. I couldn't even begin to describe how heart broken I was when the full game got released and it was shit.

The creature creator was pretty fun though. You could do a lot of cool things with it, and the insect limb update was awesome

There's not much to tell. Will Wright was making a god game in where you CAN DO ANYTHING and it turns out you couldn't do anything you wanted. All the parts were mediocre and made a mediocre game. Its still fun though no matter what /v/ says. We didn't get what was promised, that's really it.

as someone who had a chance to play Darkspore, it was a very minimalist ARPG.
from what i remember you got to pick from 3 species and each had different skills and eventually you would unlock other species and that was pretty much it. i don't remember any customization at all and just being bored.
game was a 3/10 for me, honestly not sure why i put in more than 5 hours.
