Before WoD we said "Back in time lore is shit".... They did it./
Now we're saying "Let illidan rest peacefully, STOP dragging people back from the dead so you can sell more copies".

We said "Don't give everyone legendearies are you even paying attention to what the nostcucks are saying about items being valued based on the difficulty to aquire them, not on their actual strength".

+ Better music too
+ Multiplayer PvE is fun
+ Updated constantly
+ In battle, every action you do is important
+ Healers are fun
+ One character can be all the classes, so you don't need alts
+ Crafting is fun
- It may be a bit slow
- You need to do quests in order to unlock stuff
- PvP is inferior
- Some content is already dead
- Although these items were free once, old seasonal and some exclusive content is behind a cashshop
- Getting a house is impossible for new players
Is better than WoW, but not a perfect MMO. It has an awesome waifu material, though

I can get over some lore related fanservice if the content is enough and fitting, and that looks to be the case SO FAR. Depends on the updates, but the Q&As they did kinda convinced me.
I can feel you on the legendary thing though, but at least it's not worse than MoP and WoD in this case.
I'm cautiously optimistic. Maybe it'll suck, maybe it won't.
I've played XIV since 1.0. I can never recommend this game. There's no point where it has upturned after capsizing.

This is for the best. You can only decide what you like OP, I think the free trial takes you up to level 30-35 or so. Either way the only people you'll find in these threads are those that like the game or hate the game and don't like it with other people like the game they don't like.

Warcraft has better PvE and PvP though
9+ years of content you blaze past to get to the piecemeal hub-based expansion content/raids vs 2 years of regurgitated slop that is almost immediately invalidated (you don't even need the gear savage drops)
