This little gem of a game finally came out for EU!
Been playing it all day, and I LOVE it. I want to start playing as the other characters but I guess that only happens once you actually see all of them? At any rate, loving this game.

I'm literally 100% stuck onBeating King Gallon as Oswaldand every time I get close to beating him in the fucking 20 minute fight he gets me in some bullshit juggle with his ostrich attack and I just want to kill myself.
What's the secret to beating him? Also I don't use consumables because I might need them later so don't tell me to just potion spam him or something.

The trick is to attack while evading his attacks.
Just remember that the dodge has a few invincibility frames that are really usefull and you can block almost anything

Everything is melodramatic, just look at all the dark scenes where a random stagelight shines on a character as they have a monologue. Shit is hammy as fuck.

Pro Tip: No level you may gain, nor Item you may use in Armageddon will be Saved for another playthrough; only what you do on the Characters' individual books is that matters in terms of Level Up, Skill Tree, Items, etc.

Not exactly, it's 5 normal books, then one star for armageddon, another star for getting the right armageddon combination and unlocking wheel of fate and another for getting every armageddon scene and unlocking the true ending/blessings end.

Are you running back to the item box every time your inventory fills up? What is the god damn point? You cant use anything that is in there anyway and leaving shit on the ground because your inventory is full is an even bigger waste.

I farmed for consumables but apparently 9O+9I+9W+9K+9L is too overkill as it destroys bosses before they can hit you even once and I had a second round of the same that I haven't touched. It worked for the first two though because they're stationary

Consumables don't get used up during Armageddon.
Go have a blast. Use up all those Lvl.9 Killer Clouds you've got. Even if you don't do anything the Killer Clouds will kill Gallon for your sorry ass.

I would have probably have bought it if only we'd have also gotten the artbook with the regular editions of the game.
But Europe has got to get the short end of the stick everytime, so fuck that game. I already played through it multiple times on the PS2. I don't need to re-buy it if all I am getting is the most barebones edition.

The remaster is better in every conceivable way, not counting the story/voice acting.
Gameplay is faster, more dynamic, challenging where it counts(and not because of shit fighting mechanics)
Graphics are better, areas more interesting
Heroic unlocks as soon as you finish the game once instead of having to find all the recipes, lots of which had to be found by grinding cooking.
Less inventory management and better inventory system(simplified to just 32-64 slots instead of managing a bunch of bags, seeds and mandras are tracked separately), alchemy is simplified as well but that's up to you if you think that's a good thing
If you liked it on PS2 or never played it - definitely get it. If you played it and didn't like - try out the demo and move along

Have never played Muramasa either, Ill gladly check out the demo when it finally appears on psn, it seems my region has been left behind. I did saw some footage but was unconvinced, the artstyle is lovely though, I will probably end up getting the game somewhere down the line for that reason alone.

I don't think there's a demo of it on any nonJP psn so you better use your jp account.
Main differences from DC: you move in one plane and the camera is fixed(mostly) on you since it's single player only. Blocking works the same, dodging also the same as fighter's but it's harder to get behind some enemies with it, there's the dash and uppercut attacks you have to get used to because instead of direction+attack input they utilize attack+direction input. All the skills can be assigned to fighting game-like inputs so you never have to open the menu to use them if you don't want to.
