I'm not a Nintendo fag, I prefer gaming on my PC. But I bought a Wii U pretty cheaply in a high street sale.
I can honestly say that most of the hate against this machine is completely unfair.
The touch screen control pad is actually a brilliant idea and gyro controls for aiming in games like Splatoon and StarFox are smooth, fast and precise - it actually highlights how totally shit traditional control pads are (StarFox sucked, but the problems wasn't the controls. The controls are great. The problem is the design choice to make the player focus on two screens at once which makes playing a chore and not fun).
The Wii U's shortcomings are largely due to it being an underpowered machine. 3rd party devs wouldn't touch it. Thats why it failed so hard.

Basically when the release date of the wiiU syncs up with the PS4 the fate of which console is the better console will have already been decided.
