It's really good. They added some depth in the combat system, now characters have multiple skills, there are blockades in battles, your previous save files will effect how the game goes, and there are lots of branching in Banner Saga 2 that heavily impact Banner Saga 3 (and banner saga 1). But the downside is the story is a bit anti climax this time, expect a cliffhanger at the end.
