Do you think the ERSB ratings are necessary?
Does anyone actually think about these rating once they're over the age of 18?
Does anyone care when they are below 18?

>Do you think the ERSB ratings are necessary?
Yes, so moms don't buy their 10 year olds pic related.
But basically what >>342589438 said, there's no need to care about them once you're old enough to post on this site.

Fuck, meant to quote >>342589552
>CEET MARP

Why does E+10 have a ™ while the others have a ®?
Yes, because when my son want some game, first thing i check is rating, then i check if game is any good and only then i buy it for him, little brat don't know what's good for him
Last time he want me to buy new DOOM for him, i just bought it for myself
>>342590490
It's the newest rating and hadn't been registered, yet. It has the R now, the image is old.
>>342589826
>there's no need to care about them once you're old enough to post on this site.
Well unless Murder Blood: Legends of the Death King of the Rapelands is getting a T rated game that is.
>>342589438
No, but it was that or Germany levels of censorship for games in the US due to conservative morality whining
>>342590943
I suppose so. Saves you the time of having to look through whatever the content of that game is.
>>342589438
No, they are fucking horrible to look at.
At least use fucking numbers like PEGI.
>>342590640
>i just bought it for myself
Absolutely savage
>>342589438
I'll be honest, never new Early Childhood actually existed as a fucking rating for the ESRB.I feel its nice to have and creates a lot of "hype" and controversy when a game actually hits the Adult rating.
>>342589438
Fug, ids a ceet marp!
>>342589438
Suppose it's useful for parents.
Has anybody ever even seen an adult only rating? Like, I fucking work in a video game store and I've never seen it.
>>342591447
Nah, our rating icons are better than some boring numbers
>>342592158
No one make an AO game because many retailers would refuse to sell it
And the kinds of PC games that would warrant an AO rating would never go through the ESRB in the first place
as a guide, sure, they shouldnt be legally enforced
>>342591447
M+ imply the users must be 17+ yo AND sane
17+ just imply any 17+ people can play this, even future school shooters.
>>342589438
I haven't buy a console games in such a long time that i completely forgot this shit still existed
>>342592979
you dont "buy" shit from online store. you obtain a license to use it on your pc :^)
>>342592158
AO ratings are almost never printed, as any game that receives it is never going to be sold in stores.
Pic related is only exception I've seen, I imagine some older PC games might have it too.
>>342590982
>but it was that or Germany levels of censorship for games in the US due to conservative morality whining
People always say this but constitutionally can legislation even do anything? People said the same thing about MPAA ratings and movies too but pretty sure any sort of bans or restrictions would get struck down pretty quickly.

Look some up for yourself.

The 2nd Amendment says Arms not guns, add in the fact that the intent is to have people be able to fight a military/army if need be, and yet you aren't allowed to own a working tank.
People in power will do what they want regardless of what the law says on paper.
I stopped caring when I was 15 and people called me "mister" in the stores
