To the anon who recommended this game yesterday, thank you. It's fucking awesome and I'm now enjoying the series.
So, What games have you taken from a recommendion and loved?
Thanks to everyone who wouldn't shut up about this game in Vita threads. It ended up being that one fantastic system exclusive that I'm glad to not have missed out on.

Is this game better than Ragnarok Odyssey?

I'd like to thank all our console friends for NEVER EVERing Dragon's Dogma. When it actually came out on PC I was cuirous about the hype and bought it. Finally sat down this week to play it and it's truly one of the GOAT RPGs. Big monsters FEEL like big monsters and all the skills have a sense of weight to them.

I'm wondering is Delta is worth a purchase, I have the regular SS.

I haven't played RO so I can't compare but what really makes SSD stand out from the rest of the "hunting" genre is the story and lore presentation. I spent hours reading the lore, and at one point was rushing through the fights as fast as possible to get to more story. The gameplay is fun enough to keep you playing but is nothing mindblowing. I'd say the gameplay is a cut above from Toukiden Kiwami but falls short of MH4U.

It adds a hefty chunk to both the story and the content. If you enjoyed the original game and want more then I'd consider grabbing Delta on one of those $7 flash sales. If it was just okay then Delta won't change your opinion of the core game.
One of the best series I've played in my life
