Damage values seem odd as fuck. A heavy overhead attack would knock off 80-90% health in the alpha, especially after a feint or guard break. I wonder if you can still spam light attack while changing attack angles. Still looks fucking great.
During the era of Knights for the first time in human history armor vastly outclassed weapons. People in full plate were basically invulnerable. There were tactics for killing them off course, such as knocking them to the ground and using claw hammers to peel them out of their armor, but any normal sword swing would do nothing to them. It wasn't until the invention of firearms that weapons once again outclassed armor.

I'm french and I had to study her case, so yes Charles VII used her to improve the moral of his army and bring fear to the enemy, but she was put aside by the french generals (she was basically a pain in the ass). We know that during a short period before her capture that she engaged mercenaries and she sees itself as a independent warlord, but we don't know anything else about that time.

Well, a short mace or arming sword would actually be a sidearm to something like a spear or halberd. I have no doubt the mace was a popular weapon, mostly because of it's simplicity, but I still feel swords of all descriptions or even just the longsword would have seen more use.

At Agincourt, it was rumored how plate-armored knights were knocked over and multiple guys would pin his limbs down in the mud and the dirt. Then they'd peel his armor off so they could stab at his vitals with a dagger, then they'd just leave him there to bleed out as they got on with the rest of the battle.
I'd like to see that kind of team-execution in this game.
I wish the smaller guys posed an actual threat. They should at least be able to block. It's bad enough that they never seem to attack, so they just stand around you waiting to die like in Dynasty Warriors

From what I can tell the right stick is only used when you're in a duel or locked on to the enemies.

Considering future knights were basically trained from childhood and encompassed more than just learn how to wield a sword, not really. The dossiers for each hero describe each one as having their own specific weapon for their class. The samurai hero on the site states that ALL of them in this class use Nodachis, suggesting that weapons are tied to each class. You weren't able to just sit there and precision aim your sword into one of the very few openings armor had - very often most fights between two armored knights would just have them tackling eachother and killing them up close and personal. Yes, women could have a purpose on the battlefield regardless of whether they were strong or not, but most roles in combat DID largely depend on strength. Archers and crossbowmen had to have a lot of arm/shoulder strength and endurance. The classic infantryman needed to have the endurance to endure drilling, long marches - not necessarily super dependent on physical strength though, you are right.

That's where I am coming from when I say that the guard is where the extra weight comes from. As for the flexibility of the blades, it doesn't matter if the rapier or longsword are not as flexible as sport epees, the point of contention is whether it is stiff enough to be good for piercing directly through plate, and none them are stiff enough for that kind of thing. This is setting aside the fact that their points are unlikely to even punch a small hole to start with where the stiffness of the blade could then become a factor in pushing all the way through, so the flexibility of the blades is completely moot. Even estocs which were more like fire pokers than swords weren't meant for poking at plate.
