I'm running windows 8 and can't figure out how to play Chips Challenge on my computer. I don't wanna play though a browser and I don't wanna play the Atari one.

Part of the reason I wanna play is just Nostalgia. It's gotta be the original PC game. Preferably same icon and all. I'm currently trying to get DosBOX working, but it was so long ago.

Chips Challenge (at least the one from your pic) is a 16-bit app originally designed to run on Windows 3.1. Unfortunately 64-bit Windows doesn't support 16-bit apps.

If you want to play that game you have to:

>Set up a 32-bit Windows install and dual-boot to that. Plenty of prebuilt toasters/laptops/tablets w/ less than 4 gigs of RAM have a 32-bit windows install.

>Build a period correct toaster with Windows 3.1 to XP installed

>Set up a DOSBox/VM environment with a Win 3.1 install

>Play a different port
