Its hilarious. I love it. I heard some ace songs never made it, though.

pretty fucking good, but i've never played a rhythm heaven game before. since a lot of the songs are from the other games, i can see how people who have them might be turned off
im loving it so far. its way longer than previous games and its nice to play the older games in higher quality with dual audio.
also does the game seem more forgiving with superbs than the previous ones or is it just that the im used to their anal retentive scoring?
I just think it's funny/ironic the one fucking game we get dual audio for recently, it's one that has always had a great dub that I always look forward to hearing in English.

The Forest Remix and Machine Remix had songs in the Japan release. I guess Nintendo didn't have the funds to make new songs this time, so it just plays the instrumental version of the song.
Although there is a button in the Cafe that lets you change the voices and sounds into Japanese.

Challenge Mode. I had the same concern as you at first, but the game is the best in the series. There is so much content, although the games do start out easy.

Don't make excuses. It was probably because the the Wii assets were the most recent, and wouldn't have to be converted to a higher resolution. What should have been a love letter to the entire series just ended up feeling lazy.

Somewhat poor choice of titles (which don't fucking matter), early games are so easy they're unstimulating, but most of the games are a lot of fun. Bright colors! Bouncy music!

like, you have the base campaign, finishing off in the tree dome area, and the credits role. afterwards the game presents a new flurry of rhythm games that are MUCH harder. sort of like how on the DS you unlocked a bunch of remixes after completing the normal songs. it's more or less a new game plus. took me much longer to get though that than it did the main campaign.

Are you kidding? All the older games had an amazing difficulty curve where it went from easy games to medium games to hard ones. This one goes from easy to hard at the snap of a finger, and the easy ones last twice as long.
The story mode is also the worst thing they added just for the fact you can't skip it and have to see the characters prattle on when you just want to play more.

It has a handful of new songs that are fantastic which makes you wish the game had way more than it does, there's the challenge train, and they reworked the DS games to work with buttons. If you want physical just wait until the PAL version comes out, that's what I'm doing.
