adequate gamelay but god tier ost and story, probably up there in my top 5 games of all time, its just very unique
be warned though when you beat the game its not really over, you get a clear save data that when you load it brings you to the 60% mark or so of the game and adds alot to the narrative as well as opens up 3 more potential endings.
also be warned, dont bother with most the side quests, the ones that clearly have a narrative to them are worth going through like delivering a letter from a old woman to her lover but most of them are painful grinding or gathering quests

Story music and characters are all great plus when you read up on the side materials and learn how deep the game is.
Combat isn't nearly as bad as people claim, it's incredibly barebones but it's not that bad.
