Odin Sphere is the best, especially how refined the new game is.
Muramasa is pretty kickass but I remember being confused with it being too japanese. Awesome battle system though.
Dragons Crown is cool, but not as good as the other games in my opinion.

Dragon's Crown is a mindless side-scroller. The story is horrid, the difference between characters is minimal (since you form a party), and it feels the same throughout the entire game.

play Muramasa and all the dlc and then play Odin Sphere.

One reason I can see why people put down a peg is that playing through it solo is kinda a chore. Sure, the graphics are stunning and is up to par with Vanillaware's standards. But compared to the nigh cuh-razy combat of Muramasa and now the new Leifthrasir, it just seems like it's stuck on 2nd gear.

Odin Shpere is the best but Dragon's Crown is my favorite as I love beat'em ups and the Mystara games are so e of my favorites so having a new one , even is the online is stupid, makes it the best.
