I'm not buying anything, apparently. I loaded up my cart and checked out, but when I tried to pay Steam shat the bed and the payment didn't go through. If you're just looking for openworld games to mod to shit and fuck about in then you cannot go wrong with Mount & Blade: Warband, too. Though keep in mind it's mechanically pretty intensive - don't go in expecting to understand everything right away.

how many hours did you pump into minecraft/terraria? If those games don't appeal to you mechanically, you probably won't like subnautica. It still preys upon that very basic "gather this, build this, kill this, survive" gameplay that you either love or hate.

Borderlands kinda turned out somewhat poorly for me because I played Rhys as morally ambiguous and the ending treated him like he'd acted as a perfect angel the whole time, and the contrast was very jarring.
I also just found the noir tone and mystery elements of TWAU far better done than Borderlands comedic aspects.

Also if you hate diablo-likes, you'll hate marvel heroes. It doesn't do anything new or wonky gameplay wise, it's just a very classic kill and loot game bubt with heroes.

It is fun. Basically you have a hub where you build/maintain a roster of characters, you take 4 of those characters out on missions, get loot/money, invest in your hub/roster, repeat. There's permadeath and a lot of decisions you have to make, a lot like X-Com.
All the art and dialogue is great too. It pretty consistently nails the tone it is going for. Just a good game all around.

Arma 3 has bigger better maps. More vehicles and weapons. More items and gadgets. More mods. More players and servers. Has coop and singleplayer.
Squad has much better infantry combat, animations, hit detection, interaction with environment (meaning you dont get stuck in walls or clip through walls), but it has wayyy less content. No singleplayer/coop. No vehicles yet.
Both are pretty good in their own ways. Squad is early access and gets updated real slow. New Arma Apex map is pretty great but that shit hit detection sure pisses me off when doing pvp.

Arma 3 is probably the better value. Most people rage quit Squad cause it is very difficult anyways. It just depends what you value more. To me theres nothing like seeing planes flying overhead and buildings being blown up around you as you fight in a city center with dozens of other people in Arma 3. You run on foot for 10 minutes on some maps and then get killed by someone you didnt see 300 meters away in some bushes on a hill as he wears camo that looks nearly the same as your teammates. Ya thats what you need for DLC on most servers, you can play on some (all?) the servers if you dont own the DLC, but if you pick up a DLC gun for instance the most annoying advertising messages in the world pop up on your screen, but you can still use the guns. Just not outright use them from the start, just pick them up.
Though be warned that DLC doesnt include the new APEX map which is like 30 bucks.

heh thats why i ended up getting both. Either way you will have fun if you arent an impatient mother fucker. Squad also generally has muuuuuuuuch more teamwork and communication on pub servers if thats what you are into.
Also, if you want to see Squad gameplay you can currently play Project Reality for free. it's the same mechanics but with more content and vehicles. Squad is Project Reality with better graphics and no vehicles currently. You till July 4th before the sales end, so plenty of time to do more research, dont be pressured.
A lot of the games which I expected to go super cheap are actually discounted less than they were before. More specifically, I see a few games which are only 50% off and I know they've been 75% off before.
Since I don't always have time to log in every day, I somewhat appreciate the lack of daily deals and flash sales (i.e., "ha ha you missed it" sales), but I guess some publishers are less likely to do a huge discount if it has to be active for the entire event.

I played through the game back when it was relatively new on 360. It's great if you like class-based RPGs. The combat is similar to WoW or Final Fantasy XII. The story is great, and there are slight differences (very minor except for the intro sequence) if you pick a different race and/or class. You could add Freedom Cry to Black Flag. It's cheap and a nice bit of DLC.
If you like Black Flag then Rogue is a good addition.

The gameplay of Oblivion is better than Skyrim in everything except the combat, which is only slightly better in Skyrim. The gameplay of Morrowind is good if you like reading quests and dialogue, but terrible if you just want action. The graphics of both are atrocious by modern standards, even with mods, although Oblivion isn't too bad if you're okay with Fallout 3/NV tier visuals.

Two and three are basically their own stories set in the same universe (different areas, different characters/including yours, etc).

I've invested quite a lot of time this year in Skyrim and Morrowind. I would say that the two biggest differences between the two are: atmosphere and combat.
The former is great in Morrowind. If the "generic mountainous region" of Skyrim wasn't to your liking, you may like Morrowind for its various landscapes, weird monsters and some unique architecture. Also, guilds in Morrowind are 'less epic' but more believable/fantastic. Especially fucking Tribunal Temple, it's great.
The combat is very clunky in Morrowind and it relies a lot on your skills' levels. If you do not like statistics in RPGs, you may not like this game. If you like to break the game via those statistics - hop aboard. Alchemy is fun.
Can't say anything about Oblivion sadly. Characters' models were killing me so I omitted playing it.

Dishonored. Don't listen to what people say about the game being short. It's only short if you rush the objectives. Exploring the world and taking your time is amazing, one of the best games I've ever played. Good 15 or so hours for the base game, then there's DLC too.
