If I see a sale for a game I want and get 50% off a game, I buy it and thats it. Theres never a reason to care about any other sale ever again in my entire life until a new game I want gets put out.

In my opinion it has some of the best boss fights and levels in the series, however it is a lot more linear, PVP is biased towards the host and some levels are quite lazy. It's doesn't have much originality in terms of the souls formula but it isn't a bad game by any means.

Honestly just start playing through them. I wasn't as bad as you but I have a library of 150 games and last year had only played 30 of them fully. Now I've beaten 70 of them.
It takes a little time getting into them, but the effort is usually worth it for most games. I had never played really any classic shooter other than DOOM, but going through my backlog made me play Quake 1&2, Serious Sam, Shadow Warrior, BLOOD, Duke Nukem, Star Wars Dark Forces, and Half-Life and some of those are now my new favorite games.
I also spent something like 120 hours in Titan Quest which I got randomly in a humble bundle when I was looking to get Darksiders 1&2.

Its just a fancy tech demo with plenty of lighting effects and larger unit count. That is cool and all be where is the cool unit variety? just a bunch of hover boards and hovering ships. Looks like a downgrade even from the likes of supcom 2 and planetary annihilation.
