It's built upon the fact that nuking Theramore never should have fucking happened, and it was primarily done to cement Garrosh as a villain, rather than just a guy with some brutal proclivities. Ret does not get better with the artifact. Ret has one of if not the most passive artifact traits out of any spec. It adds one ability that you'll use on cd and everything else is passive shit that you don't even have to track.
Unholy and Assassination are the only ones with artifacts that really have an impact on how you handle your rotation.

The worst thing about it is that Darion really didn't want to invade LHC, your player character orders him to do so.

They tried that with Garrosh and everyone hated it so much that they had to bastardize his character several times over to try and get people to like him and then ended up killing him when it didn't work.
Now they're just swapping faction leaders around in a desperate attempt to get people to like their characters as much as they used to like Thrall, but it won't work. Not only can Blizzard not write for shit but the players don't know what the fuck they even want.
Like how for years everyone was going on about how they wanted Tyrande to do more and to act like her old self again, and then when they finally let her do something and act like her old, hot-headed, brash, charge-into-danger-and-have-to-be-rescued self again in MoP everyone was pissed that she ran into a trap and got rescued by Varian despite managing to kill a buttload of orcs because they wanted her to be a flawless one-woman army mary sue instead of the strong but flawed warrior woman she always was.
Same thing as when all the forum crybabies freaked out over Malfurion telling her to be quiet. That isn't a new dynamic in the relationship, Tyrande always started shit and Malfurion always calmed things down with the only notable exception being their decision to let Illidan go after he saved Tyrande that one time.

The admins deserve credit for running a high-pop server without pay2win or other such shit, but that doesn't make it mechanically good.
Besides hackfixing a handful of quests post-launch (hell, I can't think of any quest they had working at launch that doesn't work in MaNGOS by default), world content and low-level dungeons were almost completely unaddressed and certainly at launch and probably in the end too, open source emulation for WotLK in form of Trinitycore was in better shape in terms of vanilla content all things considered, and in my mind being worse off than open source emulation strips you all rights from the title of "good". For example, all mob database bugs that I can think of, like Southsea Cannoneers missing their "Shoot" ability, were still there (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeD8NXdvZSs&feature=youtu.be&t=39m11s). And while core and class mechanics were decent, they were by no means the best out there either.

Ashbringer is one of the better artifacts to be honest.
The active ability has a 30 sec cooldown and requires no holy power. There is a major trait that gives you 5 holy power whenever you use the ability, which will give some nice burst potential due to the new judgement mechanics

This. Cataclysm and later expansions actually shrunk the game and dumbed it down, making it much much easier to play. WoW was only good because it was massive and had a shit ton of stuff to do, right now you can fly anywhere in a couple of seconds, max level in a day or two and just buy gold with money. This all destroyed the in-game economy. Honestly WotLK private servers are doing much better than blizzard is or ever will be in the future. Even if they release legacy servers, they'll be terrible.

Honestly I don't know. I stopped even thinking of playing the game after cata when I saw they put social media crap in the game, and broke it in many ways. What I mean by level fast is the pay to win option with them allowing you to purchase an instant level up and gold. Blizzard is literally milking the game for money before it finally collapses and they're just accelerating it's downfall by destroying the game economy and making it way too fast.

Also, a big portion of blood has been cut out(blood tap). This was always important for helping to patch the flow of blood game play(Spend Runes -> Gen RP -> Spend RP -> Blood Tap -> Gen Runes, ect).

I would love legacy servers but you are crazy to think Blizzard would waste the time and resources on supporting an older version of WoW for a VERY vocal minority.
Even if they release a vanilla legacy server the fanbase would demand QoL changes from nu-WoW into the game.
Not to mention Blizzard would want to implement bnet features into old WoW aswell.
Another question is how Blizzard would make money of legacy servers after the intial hype dies down.
Releasing content for an older version of game once people finish the outdated content sounds like a nightmare.
There are so many logistical issues with legacy servers and the fanbase would still bitch and complain.
I rather have them make neo WoW decent(MoP proved they could do it) instead of wasting money,resources, and time on an older version of game when the community would bitch about again anyway.(The WoW community will bitch about anything.)
