So is this a simple continuity nod, or is this a legit hint that the people of TP are aware of the other two timelines?
I wonder if my following question will ever be answered:
Are the timelines alternate universes, like Termina to Hyrule, or are they all still considered the same reality, but simply different times, and as such do not exist to each other?
For instance, take Twilight Princess
In that timeline, there's a portal to Termina. Imagine Hyrule as a Walkie Talkie sending the word "Hello" on Channel 1. Termina is sending the word "Goodbye" on channel 1, and as such can communicate. These signlas are being sent to a reciever on channel 1 that sees both signals since they're both on the same channel, but recognizes them as different content due to the different words. Now imagine that there are two more walkie talkies, one set to channel 2 and one set to channel 3. They are both also saying "Hello", but are on different channels, and as such cannot communicate with the other walkie talkies or with the reciever. Even though they contain the same content as the channel 1 "Hello" walkie talkie, they will never be visible to that reciever and for all intents and purposes do not exist to the reciever.
In this case, imagine the channel to be the time continuum/timeline and the word being said to be the universe. Lastly, imagine the reciever to be the plane of reality, uncluding all universes in its timeline. Even though the three "Hello" walkie talkies are all the exact same universe, they are all different timelines and do not exist to each other nor are they visible or known to each other.
However, even though the Termina walkie talkie is a different universe, it is on the same channel as the Child Timeline walkie talkie and as such can communicate with (i.e. send stuff back and forth from) it.
That's what I think it is, but I hope I'm wrong, since I'd love to see intertimeline travel.

Though, technically speaking, since one of the timelines (the child timeline) was created with time travel shenanigans and one technically erased itself (Downfall timeline - ALTTP Link wishes that Ganon had never entered the sacred realm; this allows OoT Link to fulfill his prophecy and defeat Ganon, thus meaning that the ALTTP timeline cannot happen from the perspective of someone living in OoT), this means that, from the perspective of say, an immortal being born in the time of Skyward Sword, they would eventually find themselves in the Wind Waker timeline.
With this in mind, however, it should be noted that, from the perspectives of people in those timelines, the events of the games before OoT did happen, even if, from the perspective of a fortune teller from those times, the events of the games from the Child and Downfall timelines don't. So, with that in mind, the Adult timeline is technically a one-way door; that is to say that if someone from Twilight Princess traveled back in time (even further than Link did in the Temple of Time) to the time of Four Swords, and then they traveled forward back to the time of Twilight Princess, they would find themselves under a mile of water, as they would be in the default (Adult) timeline.

They're not Rito.
They're ancient People of the Sky, before they became Oocca.
There's a lot of dialogue in TP about how the Oocca were forerunners of modern Hylians.
In Skyward Sword we learn about Skyloftians. Some of them emigrated to the surface, while others stayed in the sky, evolving into Oocca (canon, as per Hyrule Historia)
We also know that the People of the Sky and Hylians remained in contact until sometime generations before Twilight Princess.
Therefore, it is much more likely that the mural depicts different eras in the SAME timeline.
Panel 1: Gorons exist, people are all of the same tribe (the era of Hylia, perhaps?)
Panel 2: Hylians and the People of the Sky diverge.
Panel 3: People of the Sky have fully evolved into Oocca.

Good for them, Sheikah Slate works best as an ingame item, not something you use yourself. Having the Gamepad cameo as the Slate is a better fate than being the slate itself. It'll do wonders for future playthroughs.

Probably Twilight Princess to be honest. They were a little more linear than others but they were designed well. Good difficulty curve, smart puzzles, and interesting locales.

The first three are alright, though people tend to have a problem with the grappling hook usage in Dragon Roost, and Tower of the Gods isn't really that fun until you actually get into the tower itself. The latter two ones aren't that fun though, Medli's dungeon requires you switch control to her so much just to reflect some light, and it gets especially bad in one of the final rooms leading to the boss key where you have to drag all those mirrors and position her like 4+ times in the same room. Makar's dungeon is you controlling him for like five seconds to plant seeds and that's pretty much it, the rest is just floating around on your Deku Leaf or doing that Iron Boots thing on the plates.
They're also really short dungeons in comparison to the rest it seemed. Wind Waker made the grappling hook usage better though, so it's not as irritating to go through Dragon Roost as it used to be.

I miss the old days of the Zelda community, back when TP was still fresh and fan communities were absolutely fucking RAMPANT. Before SS ruined the series' image, before Hyrule Historia destroyed the fun and mysticism of the lore and the timeline, and back in the day where gaming communities were just better and friendlier in general.

I'm really on board with the theory of this Link being some sort of magi-tech bio robot.
I don't even care how stupid it may sound from a lore and continuity standpoint to some, there's just a lot of potential in this, both game and story-wise.
Maybe the big mid-game twist is Link coming to this sudden realization or discovery that he isn't human but a machine, and then we see him undergo an identity crisis which is reflected in the second half of the game.
Link realizing that some people like the Zelda and the old man lied to him, that some of the towns and NPCs he saved want nothing to do with him anymore or even actively hunt him down in fear that he could go haywire like one of those guardians. Or maybe even the option to take a different path to defeat Ganon, out of the retaliation that Link doesn't want to be bound to the directive he was created for.
And of course, the game ends with him defeating Ganon after collecting enough plot Macguffins to become something akin to a true hero.
Then again, it's probably too crazy for Nintendo and I'm just a sucker for machine sentience stories.

This could be the failed 3rd time-line that is supposed to follow OOT. The sword is beat, and a hero failed. This game would need to end with Ganon properly sealed by knights and sages.

Ganon is breaking out of a seal, the way he did in both WW and LTTP. The problem being that this doesn't fit on any timeline really.

A resurrected Ganon after one of his deaths, and he wrecked the sword intentionally and/or wrecked a hero.

I think it's more sciency shit by the Sheikah. Probably used OoT's DNA, or some other magical element, to create a clone. I would start the story from TP, because I could use the Interloper story as a jump point. I think some things here need to be adressed. First of all there are no towns on the great plateau only beyond. This info spun out of control. Second the whole 4 dungeon rumor is likely a misunderstanding. When it was leaked it referred to shrines as mini dungeons and mentioned 4 dungeons only. This is the correct answer. They specifically said that the plateau had been abandoned and been overrun with monsters. There are villages but they are off the plateau which is going to basically work as a starting tutorial area. Sure but it would still be far more interesting than just a "climb faster" item. Hook/Clawshot would not only make climbing faster, but it can clear gaps and such. Imagine climbing one face and then clawshotting over to an opposing face. They've actually already done things like that in past games, just it used to require vines or something put on the wall beforehand.
