I will say for a negative for this game (even though personally as someone who's been keeping up since 2014 it works really well in my perspective) is that it really expects you to have already played all the demos, prologues and even the initial prototype to get a bigger picture.
Maybe it'd be better if they bundled them all with it but they don't, at least not on steam which is where most of the purchases will probably come from.
Reminder that this game is incredibly shallow, has only one route, a few basic endings, no major changes regardless of whether you befriend side characters or not, and has incredibly monotonous gameplay that exists to pad the game's length.
Pirate it, play it, download the OST, and then play the objectively better Papers, Please.

Man, the story really falls flat.
I was expecting to be a really tangled web involving Sei, Miki, Jamie, Dorothy, Anna, etc.
Instead all of a sudden Lenore's sister shows up and just takes total control of the story and the rest of it is just about MUH FEELINGS. Why is Anna so totally unimportant in this game? She feels totally shafted.
I feel like this went through some changes very late.
I also hate that some of the side characters just vanish. Donovan, Betty, Deal, the kid, the douchebag with the earrings, Jamie, the cosplayers? They barely matter at all.
And the worst part is the story is all this game really has. The gameplay is more of a time-waster to break up the story rather than the actual point, and the only other thing is the shooting minigame.
This game needs way more routes. Doesn't have to be an eroge but I really wish I could learn more about Sei or Anna or Betty. You can't pursue them at all.

Literally the only good things about this game are the music, sound effects, the background art and some of the character art. Everything else is just mediocre.

Honestly, all of the loose ends being left like that, I think it was done on purpose. Ever since the first demo, the whole theme of the game has been "You are an unimportant side-character in the midst of a fascinating dystopia fighting for it's life. The main characters come to you, and you serve them and listen to them, then they leave."
Honestly, I thought the ending actually fit things pretty well. It's a little reflective of life. There are a lot of things that have come in and around my life that have felt particularly important for some reason or another, but I was never privy to that info.
I'll never really know what my dad's friend meant when he genuinely said that he thought that god was a woman because of that fight he got into with my parents when I was younger. I haven't even seen him since then. He could be dead.
I'll never know what my little sister said to me years ago just shy of her puberty that caused my mom and my other two older sisters to take her into a separate room and lecture her for an hour about.
I'll never know if she actually loved me, or if she was just using me because she was as alone as I was because she moved away to someplace that I don't even know as soon as she graduated college.

Especially the hard plot ones, like the White Knight Armor secondary market, the implications that Alma may be that Alice hacker (there's a white rabbit on your screen when she hacks the bartending console, and she's pretty sensitive about the way it's become a meme), and that chant Ingram and the cyborg assassin have - those are all the kind of info that a normal cyberpunk MC would hear in a dive bar and then do something about, and part of the beauty of the game is that there's nothing you can do to follow up on them.
It's kinda unsatisfying in a lot of ways, but the snippets themselves are interesting, and it's better than a ham-fisted attempt to get Jill into the middle of the action, or a badly-done tying up of all the loose ends in a scrambled ball.

This is all fine and dandy from a narrative standpoint but the unfortunate reality is that it makes for a really boring, uninteresting video game.
The fact that they didn't even throw some romance options in there just to spice it up and give it some replay value is just really disappointing. I will never play this game again. I haven't even had it 24 hours and I'm totally done.

Donovan's still a fun character. Gill was also confirmed straight, in one of the scenes with the gay biker, I think. Ingram had a daughter, and only talks about hiring female prostitutes.
