I never bought DLC for Bethesda games because i they were any good but because, down the line, some mod is going to require them. it was obvious the original Season pass plan was to repeat Skyrim's (two large addition story DLCs, one crafting/filler esque hearthfire copy.)
However they clearly ended up behind schedule with Far Harbor so somebody decided to gut the 'stuff pack' dlcs into a bunch of pieces to alleviate the wait. then someone at Zeni went, "wait this is now six DLC, we can double the price of our terrible season pass AND use this as way to pressure people to impulse buy it."
basically instead of 2 ok expansion esque dlcs and one stuff pack season pass for 30 bucks, we get two ok expansions and 4-5 mediocre as fuck overprised tiny stuff packs for twice the price.

Far Harbor and Automatron were both great DLC.
The Workshop DLCs I really couldn't care less about and don't want to bother making some wacky setup or anything.
The Vault DLC might be cool. Also might be as boring as other workshop DLC.
Nuka World will probably be at least as good as Far Harbor or Automatron, which would justify the pre-raised Season Pass price easily.

No. Bioshock infinite and Arkham Knight are the only two season passes i've ever purchased. So I learned very quick not to do that.

Not so sure. Automaton is a much better DLC than Hearthfire even without the workshop DLCs. Far Harbor is the biggest chunk of content in the pass, so your analogy's already in the shitter.
A better comparison would be Oblivion which released a decent-sized expac (Knights of the Nine), followed by a "huge" expac (Shivering Isles). The rest of the mods repurposed as DLC are akin to the little 360-exclusive DLCs Oblivion had. Nuka's the only thing that doesn't really fit, might just have been a last minute addition.

Far Harbor and Nuka Cola Land are the real DLC, and a bit of the Mechanist story shit. But all that and the extra shit you don't have to wait for modders to finish/polish for $20 or whatever it was before the price raise? Seems decent.
