Brumal Brachydios. Bluish white overall, with a purplish blue underside and purplish red slime.
Causes massive, puddles that freeze into slippery ice level zones where you maintain momentum. In best case scenario, you can do shit like run onto it and charge GS and slide right into Brach's face. Worst case, you think you've stopped and started to charge, but slide right by it.
The massive frozen patches crack over time, then shatter, inflicting a guaranteed bleed proc on hunters within and sending some shards flying that inflict the same three hits then bleed proc Seregios does. Shattering will also send some shards flying just a little bit further than the edge of the patch. Any particularly strong slam-type attacks from the hunter will also crack the patch faster. Like explosions, Brachy can be hurt by his own patches.
Certain moves will send Brach sliding along his own slime.

Unless you get caught in the middle of a visibly cracking puddle, it's a lot better than normal Brachydios because getting stuck with the three-hit then bleed procs means you can just dodge one proc and be done with it, whereas you have to have the opening to roll three or four times to avoid blastblight otherwise, and with regular Brachydios's slime, those puddles are huge aerial denial zones that limit your ability to move around. This one only restricts it.
Enraged Brumal won't bleed you immediately, but its every attack will shake off razor sharp frozen slime shards that do the same shit as Seregios.
I have problems with Brachy's mobility too but in the end it feels like it gives more mobile weapons and ranged weapons a better chance to shine than the standard speedkill choices.

Dos. You captured a monster and could pit it against someone else's monster, and you'd give commands via horns.
You could attack the opponent's monster directly or trip up the other hunter to keep them from effectively hurting yours or commanding their monster.
It was extremely clunky. If they ever do it again, it needs to be turn-based pokemon stuff.

If you don't want to fuck up your console in getting a new c-stick, learn to press inwards on the edges instead of trying to pull the whole nub stick up, down, left or right.
That said I do a combination of pulling and pressing and it's surprisingly comfortable and responsive, although some folks may want to apply some kind of coating, adhesive, or abrade down the top/edges just a little bit for a better grip.

It's got about as many quests as 4U, but it's got some more gathering quests total. Deviants at Level 10 can get pretty tough, but ultimately if you're coming down off of solo apex hunts in 4U they're still gonna feel a lot easier.

It's still longer than pretty much every other game you can buy, as all MH's are. But most of the people I see (myself included) are done with it by 300 hours in. The endgame is really easy. The hardest it gets is only on par with 126-135 GQs, and once you get your level 10 Ember Dino weapon of choice and farm your set (usually blazing los, tempest narga, or a clownsuit using silver sol pieces), you are pretty much done. Everything else you fight is for sport, their gear and armor are worthless.

I wouldn't recommend doing that, especially online. Aerial and Adept are really good for Normal and get your heat up pretty quick, but you're not, like, FORCED to do that. Shell when applicable, burst when opportunity knocks.
Seriously though you've got to wyvernfire before you overheat the gauge, else you'll be stuck with pokes weaker than 4U, but if you wyvernfire in red, you'll get stronger pokes than 4U.

I just read a lot of guides online that spamming full burst with GL (Bushido) is the way to go for damage.
Which is weird cause in 4u you didn't shell at all, you got Tamarod and you X, X, X+A (infinity)

Slamming and full bursting is good for damage solo, but just avoid doing it too much online is all I'm saying.
You do want to do a lot of poking, but the heat gauge wants you to shell as you poke to keep your heat up, y'know? And locking the heat in red is an excuse to shell as much as you want.

Like you're stuck in animation for so long. Back hoped and try to hunter art, but nope I have to wait until I stopped moving completely. And lance charge is so hard to consistently do. I don't know how the japs do it but R+X+A is a silly command, I keep getting counters instead and standing there looking dumb.
So, what's your route of progression?
I'll probably do it like i did in 4U.
LR Village, LR guild, HR Village, HR Guild, G Guild+the few G village quests.
Although there's no G here so it's much more compact.

That's the only thing i didn't do in 4U. I already had my checkmark so i couldn't be bothered.
But I finished every quests on each rank before moving to the next. Much more fun than going back to those missing quest and just facerolling them with endgame gear.Although a lot of randoms and anons probably hated my guts for allways picking non-key quests on my turn:^)

it might just be /mhg/ being /mhg/ but the game does feel a bit off, maybe due to the engine or latency issues, but character and monster movement isn't as smooth, attacks always send you flying, the little things. Other than that, it's p2w with buyable armor and weapon spheres, but that's to be expected with Tencent.

On LS, I really do miss the 4U iteration of the aura system. Not having to worry about spirit comboing repeatedly just to keep my damage up for two minutes as a time was a huge yes in terms of longsword gameplay to me, instead I could focus more on actually doing the appropriate moves at the appropriate time, and worry more about making my time in red as worthwhile as it can be before dropping back down to nothing, instead of feeling like my moveset is so limited and if I don't do certain things at certain times, I'd be fucked in terms of output and worth to the team.
All they had to do was buff yellow and white so people wouldn't feel as gimped if they're not at red all the time. Literally all they had to do, especially given how much easier it is to raise your aura in Gen.

My bow playstyle revolves around not getting hit in the first place. Always has. If a monster proves too difficult to not get hit by, I'll choose a different weapon.
Plus I've liked using arc shots since I got good with the bug bows in 3U, to the point of being able to knock out Rathalos with surprising regularity with it, so that's right out.

Admittedly it sounds nice, but again I just don't see myself doing well with that kind of playstyle. I tried it on Maccau in the demo and it feels kind of clunky and inconsistent, but that could just be my timing. I have a tendency to turtle when I see an attack coming, not try to block it at the last second. I could get better, surely, but I won't try too hard if it comes at the expense of my enjoyment.
Monster Hunter is the only game where jerking off how OP a weapon is shows how good you are

For years and years I've had to wade through threads filled with entitled HH users that think the world owes them a favor for delegating themselves to a shitty role that no one wants to play. They think of themselves as above every other weapon class, especially bowgun users (which are arguably the most useful and brotier users in MH) because that's the only way that they can cope with being stuck playing a shitty support role. They've crafted such a huge hugbox here and in /mhg/ in order to prevent their fragile egos from completely shattering and subsequently falling into depression in the realization of playing a literal waterboy role in a roster of charismatic, friendly jocks and heroes. They forever stand in the shadows of giants like GS and HBG, doomed to pick up scraps of the adoration that these two get. And as such, they've become bitter. Every single HH user is an insufferable douchebag with no redeeming qualities. Every time I finish a game with one, they expect me to congratulate them for doing their janitorial duties while we, the Ivy League graduates, the Fortune 500 employees, the Google software engineers of Monster Hunter, do all the actual dirty work involving learning the intricate attack patterns of the monsters, their hitboxes, the respective damage that each attack does, and the nuances of each particular monsters. 8 minute kills is still a respectable time solo, especially against an endgame monster that should be an order of magnitude or two more difficult than what the rank normally offers. It's more like a small handful of other weapons either have playstyles that match up supremely well with that monster, or are plain a little too strong in general, although I'd like to assume the former before the latter.
But then, you've got to consider that time attacks are typically done on the easiest, most predictable monsters. I've looked around on the website those numbers were taken from, and there's next to nothing noted down for a lot of the other monsters. Variant Dinovaldo by far has the most time attacks noted down of any monster. Hell, it's pretty much the only one with a complete set.
Hell, just look at 4U time attacks. Isn't most of the notation for Rajang, Seregios, or MAYBE Molten Tigrex?
I'd wager that monsters where HH might shine get looked over because they're annoying.
In any case it's not really fair to judge the weapon as a whole by its measurement against one single monster out of, what, like 69-ish?
Maybe it will be on the lower end of kill times consistently, but the time isn't so far separated as to be worth calling the weapon useless, and gloating over all of its users for the actions and words of a few.

Also keep in mind that you can angle where your aerial attack will hit by pushing the circle pad in that direction and that, by letting go of the circle pad when you go up, you won't fly forward as far.
