Fourth Fire Emblem game. Japan only, but has a new translation patch that actually translates the whole game.

I play the game and you suggest how I do it. There's a lot of factors to decide on, such as who gets specific items and how certain units interact. There's a generation system, so these decisions have huge impacts.

She's really cute.
Anyways, this fucker can pretty much one round everyone. Randomly can get extra attacks and start a new round of combat. In addition to doubling, he can crit you too. Getting crit 8 times in a row can kill anyone.
Arden gets a less terrible sword and manages to get Skill on a level up. He's already gotten Skill twice and his growth for it is like, 10%.

They have disadvantages.
For example, Ayra doesn't have a horse, and her bad DEF/HP makes her quite vulnerable. Even though lances are heavy, the lack of True Hit means that a 30% chance to hit is 30%. Cavs attack in groups, so she's fragile.
Still a monster in a 1 on 1 fight.

Despite her Holy Blood, Ethlyn is barely gaining stats.
Is this line still the same? Haven't done a replay of the game with the new translation yet.

Last time someone asked about ironmanning FE5. I highly recommend that you do try an ironman run, it's extremely fun. Enemy stats are low in FE5 so even if you lose some good units you can make do with what the game provides. The game never has any "unfair" bullshit that makes you lose, there's always something you can do to make your strategy extremely reliable. Staves can miss but only if your skill stat is below 10 and you get plenty of vulneraries that heal you fully so you can't blame your healers. You never ever have to risk getting crit because you have lots of supports and scrolls to work with. Enemy reinforcements act immediately but they always spawn far from where you are (except where that is the chapter's gimmick, e.g. chapter 14x). Even Xavier can be recruited reliably if you use the thief staff. Keep your staff users safe and you should have no problems doing an ironman run.
If you've played FE5 a couple times I'd even recommend that you try a 0% growths warpless ironman run. That is extremely fun and actually not that hard if you aren't going for a low turncount.

Chapter 2 is a lot worse than chapter 7. Just having some segments of sand and needing to backtrack for one castle doesn't make it worse than this shit.

You speak as if this chapter didn't have any backtrack. Even if you try to let the AI seize Nodion so you can take it back - making it a valid Warp Castle so you can have Ethlyn warp the cavalry that advanced to seize Anphony can quickly come back to storm Mackly - there's no guarantee it will happen, because the AI might just decide to suicide themselves on you or the three stooges will finish them off.
Also ranged or not ranged has nothing to do with Pavise deciding to proc on you.
And all of this while you grind an unit.

Anyways, while I admit there is backtracking with Mackily and the villages, it's hardly anything really obnoxious. You've just gotten a dancer, you have plenty of time to have units that didn't go after the villages to prepare to fight Mackily's troops at Nodion, and Fury is easy to recruit if you just send Levin to Evans.

I'm not saying the chapter is hard, only that it's a chore to play. It's boring with all the shit that happens and RNG can fuck you up at any moment, meaning it's hell if you're the kind that want to get a perfect rank without abusing savestates.
Lewyn recruiting Fury still always ends up annoying me more than it should. Leave him guarding the castle? The AI just parks themselves on there because 0% meaning he can't get out. Leave him out of it? The AI can have that 1% chance to kill him. Leave Lewyn in the mountains? The AI just ignores him because 0% chance and head straight out to the castle, and with their superior movement you can't catch up.

If you have Finn pair with Raquesis, have him kill Chagall for the Silver Blade, and if you go Bridget x Lex, have Lex kill Jacoban for the Bolt Sword, this way the kids can inherit something. If you do Taillte x Lex, have him pass down a Magic Ring.
Jamke is also a good pick for Aideen if no one else in gen 2 will need the Pursuit Ring.

Feel free to turn on Autosave, it helps a lot. Have a seperate save at the start of each map as a backup, though.

Anon if you haven't played this game I'm going to give you some major advice that you NEED to know in order for this game to be fun.
Marry everyone. Just fucking hold turbomode and fucking spend 50-100 turns it takes. EVERYONE needs to be married otherwise the game will be shitloads harder than it needs to be.

In 2nd gen, it gives special convos, combst boosts when near each other, and some convos give stats. Overall, its not important in 2nd gen.
