It's crazy that so many MMORPGs exist. The vast majority of them barely get any players and yet they all have servers up and worlds built (albeit 99% of MMO worlds are dogshit) and all the content and art/programming assets etc etc etc. It literally takes a team of several people with a wide range of skills just to make a throwaway MMO that nobody plays.

Oh god I miss this game now. Before a patch stopped everyone but PKers from dropping items, I used to make bank by running monsters trains on bots as they were grinding.
I'd get enough lizardmen or whatever to instagib one, run it over to the bot and they'd kill him before he was able to force quit. So much brigandine armor that I just sold for less than store prices.

I read over on OnRPG about a year ago that someone finally hit level cap in that game and it took him about 11 years of continuous play. It was typically some Korean guy, and the only person to ever achieve it.

Trying to jew people out of their hard earned adena so that you have enough money to buy soul/spirit shots.
Hunting red karma players in hopes of them dropping their most valuable equipped gear.
And then you realize that MMOs are dead and games like this will never come back.

The first time I saw this shit and played it you could only just play as black knights and dance and attack win with silly RNG in this small as fuck island.
Then they added these healing shrines and monsters
Then they added weapons in chests at each shrine that just changed your weapon model and they added ability to play as different colored black knights and then eventually they started adding loot and actual dungeons and shit went on and on from there

It was actually pretty cool. There were open-world PvP objectives at every level that ranged from simple outposts to capture in low-level zones to massive, multi-stage siege warfare in high-level zones. It all contributed to bonuses for your faction.
It also pioneered concepts like public quests, which Guild Wars 2 later butchered, and just generally nailed traditional MMO combat. They managed to design tanks in a way that didn't revolve around aggro so they could actually contribute in PvP, and no one had auto-attack.
tl;dr: It was a pretty cool game that had some problems, notably the fact that it was released before 100% of the content was complete and it didn't stand out enough from WoW.

Guyver was the user name.
Eventually a korean guy saw how bad I wanted to play it and hooked me up with an actual account.
Apparently in order to make an account you needed to use your social security number and he used his mother's to make my account. Total bro, he even helped translate somethings.
I didn't know Korean, but I was still able to log in and play because things were pretty simple.
A better gun, stats would go green indicating it was better. Great, that's all I needed. Same with armor.
It ran incredibly smooth. The Unreal engine was really being optimized for that game. Imagine an Unreal Tournament MMO, but with singleplayer/instance maps for campaigns and missions.
I couldn't do any actual PVP for some reason though, I think it was locked.
The cancer that isijji gamesbought out Huxley and tried to incorporate their own things like the cash shops and shit, but could never get it out of their own testing phase because they suck in every way.
So, Huxley died a very cruel death. Damn shame, the times I did play it, I was hooked.
All of the boss fights were usually a hard as fuck Unreal Tournament AI bot, but his gun had a special ability or something.

all I ever found as far as macros went were simple bf/ss/rhs scripts. Nothing crazy like what you're describing, then again I could do it all on my own so I never really looked that hard.
Some of the hacks that plagued the game later on were terminal cancer.

I was having so much fun. Couldn't convince anyone else to spend the money to unlock the rest of the sidequests though, so I dropped it too.

>don't see a single person under level 120 in a week
>literally no one talks
>one person said something about 4 days in but it was obvious he meant to pm it
>no low levels running around doing mundane tasks
>never meet someone around your level doing the same quest and make a new friend
>the only people left playing are the ones who invested too much time to let go
>and those people have nothing to say to anyone outside of their clan/friends
>game is basically dead as far as I could tell
>got lonely and bored after a week and quit
