Well, my Wii U is Murrican and I want to play Japanese games. Nintendo region locks, so unless I want to purchase another Wii U with shipping and import fees from Japan, there's no avoiding pirating on that one.
I buy games on my Japanese New 3DS, right now mostly use the hacked ones for VC and DS games, streetpass, and games that I already bought in English.
Sony doesn't let you use a foreign address/credit card on PSN, so fuck them. On top of that I'm still stuck with the 4GB default Vita card and they are still overpriced, and only sold by resellers outside of Japan.
Might have to deal with it with the PS3, being a "modern" platform I don't expect it to last many years and with PS4 not being backwards compatible, I don't want to spend too much on gaymes.
Maybe if they didn't make it so hard to buy off-region games, I wouldn't be so eager to pirate.
