What does even constitute as a LAN anymore, I mean we meat up almost every month with between 5-10 people sometimes with computers, sometimes just FIFA/Tekken/party games on a big screen.
Hell they always have an extra laptop so I don't even have to bring my pc, played gang beasts with 6-8 local about a month ago and we were laughing our ass off, and it was with 1 pc hooked up to a TV.
Are LAN's really that rare? We have like 10 of them a year where everyone brings their PC and we Blur/Rainbow six vegas 2/strategy game/assfaggot/Csgo.

Once upon a time some friends and I are sitting in a 3 car garage playing a board game Risk. After the first time we play my friends and I take drastically different approaches with each other on the 2nd run. After the second time playing we take some weeks off, everyone looks for this game at their house.
A month or so later we are sitting in this garage, we have 8 boards of Risk set up across some tables to make the game more interesting .
Now, if anyone has played Star wars Battlefront 2, we made a similar adjustment to our galactic conquest experience where we split the group up, split those teams up across fleets, then kept track of if someone opted to stay on a planet to defend it, get picked up by the other fleet, we had certain move restrictions to make the game advance differently than just steam rolling with 1 fleet.
Now we maybe play Civ every few months. :/
