They went to get people into it and play the multiplayer, because they are doubling down on that stuff with the DLC packs that are coming. I played the multiplayer for a bit, and it is really fun. All they need to fix is how OP the chainsaw and demon runes are.

I've had this historical urge and I never played beyond AC2, and these games are either impossible or a massive fucknig pain to pirate. Ass creed 1 had that crash when you reached a certain city, ass creed 2 had some weird online server you had to emulate, beyond that there aren't even any cracks for brotherhood and who knows what else.
And that is BEFORE denuvo was even relevant, wish piracy wasn't dead.

I think Doom's single player is great as long as you didn't pay full price
And as much as I want to love Overwatch I have no idea why I keep playing it anymore. After leveling to 64 and getting a loot box each level it's hard to feel the game's rewarding in the slightest when all you constantly get is sprays, voices and icons with the occasional skin for a character you hardly use. I know it all comes down to luck, but still.
