Liara was a monotone blank slate (which makes absolutely no sense since nobody else in her species behaves like that) and then transitioned into a monotone bitch in 2 and beyond.
Honestly, in a perfect world the "Young Asari" would be a party-animal lunatic. Asari live to be insanely old, but there are actually very few of them who die of old age. It's pretty likely that the vast majority of Asari die in battle, or of drug overdose, or of Jackass-esque hijinks, and I think that a character who personifies that reckless abandon would be more interesting than "I AM A SEXY BLUE SPACE BABE BLEEP BLOOP." or "I'M A BUTTERFACE RETARD BEES HAHAHA" like Bioware's usual fare.
