It has potential to be something truly great, if they fuck it up or not is something only time will tell. I admit I'm impressed with the art and music shown but worry a bit about the lack if gameplay.
If it's good it'll go down in fan game history, if it's shit well its a fan game and doesn't devalue the original trilogy at all.

3 really improved on the gameplay with the comboing system. Also just me personally probably but I love the basic DQ style gameplay for some reason.
