you collect some crystals for fates
then you do like 9 or 10 2.0 hard mode dungeons, then 4 3.0 dungeons in sequence
then you collect 20 of these 4 different types of items each, you can spend tomes or do beast tribes or do alexander to collect them, this is by far the worst part, it takes abouth a month of grind or more depending on how poopsock you are with it
then you turn those items in alongside 12 HQ crafted items which will set you back about 1.2 mil if you don't make them yourself
after that you turn in 5 aether oils, it's a really quick and easy step which makes the weapon glow and shit
the step after that though is more bullshit i haven't bothered researching yet

Class balance is so bad that you can't even raid with one specific healer composition because SCH is so mandatory in these raids that not bringing one fucks you over.
They need to fix a lot about it for me to be hyped for 4.0, because no, introducing Samurai and Red Mage won't fix that.

I'm not sure which diff builds are safe atm but whatever you're currently on is not. You can google-fu to help find out whats best to rollback to or you can just test it manually. The story is definitely a problem in 2.x, not the story itself but the way it's delivered by jerking you around everywhere. A WHM can drop down Divine Seal with Regen and/or Medica II and even drop down an Asylum and go ham in Cleric Stance. Plus on trash you just stun chain packs while dpsing so your tank isn't even taking damage while you're doing huge amounts of burst. AST can't do that quite as well and doesn't have a stun on their aoe (though they can still stun a pack for 4 seconds on a long cooldown), but they can do it to a lesser extent too. AST's single target shields aren't great (though they can put those down on the move which is pretty nice), but Aspected Helios shields are now 20% stronger than Succor's shields and being able to cast both a strong direct heal with Benefic II without having to worry about Aetherflow and provide shields at the same is pretty nice. Don't you guys think that since this is a PvE focused game wouldn't it be better to simply buff AST and WHM rather than nerfing SCH? SCH is super good but it isn't gamebreaking by any means, fuck up and you're still dying the same way as any other healer. Rather than removing something fun from the game i think making the other classes better is a much more positive resolution.

I don't even touch healer, I play DPS and Tank. ASTs have shit heals and piss off the entire raid by delaying pulls by an extra 20 seconds because they didn't think to draw cards while we were all waiting on cooldowns.

By straight up nerfing I meant nerfing the class as a whole, not just one ability. Bard got a big fucking ass nerf that was arguably needed to an extent, with how mobile they were and everyone stacking them. They haven't nerfed an entire class like that since then, only some abilities while still buffing the class in other areas.

Shroud and Assize are plenty of MP regen. Just don't sit there spamming your Medica II and make use of your cooldowns. Asylum in particular is disgustingly underutilized by WHMs. It's not a long cooldown, it's free and doesn't take up a GCD. There's no downside to using it.
