If you are going by IGN's review, they don't know what the fuck they were doing: 3/10 is a completely unfair score.
The music is top shelf, tons of 80's inspired music along with remixes of the original music from the games.

The game's writing is over the top nonsense fun, and the main villain is funny too.
The fighting part, however, is a bit flawed: Mix tapes give you special abilities, but only 4 out of 12 of them aren't shit. Besides that, it's still fun to fight tons of enemies on screen, and they really emphasis coop, since you can do high-fives and boost your attacks.
I had a blast with it and my friend, I'd recommend it if you are looking for some coop games. (There was supposed to be an online coop version, but Wayforward dropped it a long time ago.)

I'm not. Boogerman wasn't all that popular, at least in my circles. Earthworm Jim was pretty revered in its time though. Seems like everyone knew Jim.
