Sony has had this patent for a while now. Should they finally answer to Microsoft and make an elite version of the Dualshock 4?

Based on what I see here, this controller doesn't have paddles in the same way that we see on Xbox one elite. It's similar to the Steam controller in the placement of wing buttons (135 and 132_.

Not really.
The DS4 analog stick is far more prone to wear than the Xbox analog sticks. It'd be a lie to deny that.
The audio coming from their headphone jack via bluetooth is far less reliable and they aren't very vendor neutral for some reason. You shouldn't pretend that this problem doesn't exist.
The PC level driver support matters, contrary to the argument that PC doesn't use controllers, and this is a realm where Sony has no way to compete against Microsoft.
I own both, and I truly think that those issues count severely against the DS4.
