I do play video games, and I've improved my gaming skill massively by watching high level play on streams.
I agree, if they're small streamers. I have no idea how people just spam their random noise in a huge chat room where there's no zero dialogue (either with the streamer or amongst themselves).
Magic the Gathering streams are pretty chill, even with a 1000 viewers, you can get a pretty good on topic chat going.
