The idea was fine, it would have been nice that people tried to call out corruption in gaming journalism. It was just corrupted when people like Milo Yiannopolous latched onto it who were obviously just using it to push their personal political agenda. Though, to be fair, it says a lot about the movement that they didn't reject him.
