This kills the MMORPG.
The cool part about RPG and fantasy worlds is the stupid power levels.
Trying to "balance" does nothing but lower the peaks and raise the valleys resulting in a very bland experience across the board.
People crying for balance don't understand what they're really asking for. When they say "X is OP" they really mean "X beats the class I play most of the time and I can't figure it out".
The best way to balance pvp is make everyone OP. If everyone is stupid, no one is stupid. They're just all stupid in different ways.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
When they start balancing shit for the sake of pvp all your fun and unique abilities go out of the window you end up with homogenised classes that all feel the same.
Why the fuck people play pvp in mmorpgs is beyond me.

I agree, the pinnacle of WoW PvP was during vanilla where you could absolutely destroy anyone who didnt poopsock as much as you. I felt rewarded for gaining 40 kilograms in weight and losing all my friends during the 2 years I played.
Now I do the same thing and casuals just destroy me because everyone is at the same level. This makes me very suicidal.
