Is BOtW the most butthurt-inducing Nintendo game of recent years? It feels like the butthurt has surpassed Bayo2 and MonHun already, and it's not even a "Nintendo stole our games" deal this time.

Nah, Bayo 2 still has salty tears and port begging to this day, most of the "butthurt" you see surrounding BOTW is just a small group of vocal shitposters/falseflagging. The overwhelming response to Zelda has been positive.

I'm not impressed by the graphics. I think my biggest complaint is that it seems to have this weird, brown filter on everything, though I'm not sure if that's just a thing from the video capture. Also not a fan of the strong light/shadow contrast, but that's just a matter of taste.

No. It's just a legit complaint. The game has a tiny draw distance, little to no AA, ps2 textures and a silky 15fps. I like Zelda, but it's really not an impressive game visually as it's tied to archaic hardware. Fanboy all you want, but the graphics criticisms are valid.
