I'm not 100% sure, but I know there are other titles that take advantage of the New. Also it counts as a circle pad pro if you're playing anything that supports those.
You can also hack your 3DS and force the higher clock speed in older games, but it's not perfect
I have this. I'd like to get a regular N3DS. I had a Japanese N3DS and I loved it, but sold it due to lack of use. It feels like it has better build quality than the XL. I just wish Nintendo had a better account system so I could share between two systems. I don't really want to completely replace the XL.

I'm actually playing on an XL right now. My buddy is letting me borrow his Zelda 3DS XL to play Etrian Odyssey and Monster Hunter because I gave my OG 3DS away to my godson who wanted it.
I figured the Xl would feel more like my Vita, which I find to be pretty darn comfy.
Like i said before though, it gets uncomfortable after longer sessions if I'm not laying the console on something like a pillow. I may have some carpal tunnel and the weight triggers it after some time :( I wish the smaller New 3DS was a thing here. I like the size and weight of the OG but the design is too fucking sharp.

Most of them are rpgs, so maybe that's why I got no issues with it.
Get a standard 3ds or a new3ds if you care about the exclusives and more power. Also don't update your 3ds if you're pirating it. I've read people here say that the DS had better library, but you can just get an R4 and play them too.

The good thing about Kirby games is that there isn't really a bad one, you can't go wrong. Get the 3D classic, get Robobot, get Triple Deluxe, then after that go back to the GB VC games. Some of the DS games have different playstyles but for the most part they're all the same sort of thing. Triple Deluxe has its problems (mainly the hypernova sections, essentially scripted linear sections that take most control away from the player), but the game oozes charm and has a ton of fun copy abilities like the beetle and bell.
If you want to emulate on something other than 3DS check out Amazing Mirror for GBA, it's fun to 100%.

No problem. I realised I was a little broad- if you want the best gameplay with more modern sensibilities, go for Robobot. If you love the style and "cuteness" but don't care about a challenge, Triple Deluxe is best for you. If you want a smaller, more focused game as a well-rounded (pardon the pun) entry point to how the series plays as a whole go for Adventure 3D. Adventure 3D is cheaper and often cited as the best in the series, but IMO the pure atmosphere of Robobot and Triple Deluxe make them more fun to play. The newer games tend to have a lot more bonus stuff to do too, so if having to collect a shitload of stuff to get 100% annoys you look at Adventure or Dreamland.
