but I don't regret playing it, I only played it cause I never played a "big" multiplayer game before and I enjoyed playing it during that time.
but I eventually stopped playing it cause it got too stale and too powercreepy for me, plus most of my friends who I met while playing it left too so the only people who I usually grouped with were a bunch of assholes who hated the game even more than me.

The game sucks. The lore was insteresing at some point. The grisl are all fucking hot. And I'd probably play spin-offs cause i liked several of the characters.

Honestly, I liked it. I still play it. But as I get older and keep playing the game, I become less and less happy because of the stress it gives. The rounds are too long and you feel like there's too much at stake, which puts people on tilt and creates the toxic environment the game is known for.
I think there's going to come a point when people realize that the game makes them more unhappy than happy, at which point it's going to collapse. I've been playing since beta and have been a big supporter, but even I'm near the end of my rope.

It used to be fun once. But it's only been getting more bland and more awful as time goes on and RIOT panders to their esports/ecelebrity fanbase to squeeze as much money as they can from it. The developers are super shitty and enforce the meta so heavily that if you try to play a character in an unconventional way they'll "rework" the shit out of it until you can only play it the way they intended it to work.
Too bad Dawngate is dead because that game perfectly captured the most fun period in LoL's life and improved on it in almost every way.
These days I play Heroes of the Storm when I want something easy because it's basically the same thing as LoL only you can do pretty much whatever you want and your teammates won't sperg out over you not taking the most optimum MLG build/character.
Dota is fun but you have to be so ON that it's exhausting, because you're always struggling so hard just to keep up with the other team. If it's not a total shitstomp a 40 minute game of dota feels like 4 hours.
