So microsoft basically ended the console wars with their E3 conference. All that still needs to happen is sony giving up the stupid idea of exclusives and release their games on PC since everything else will be playable on just one platform. The Wii U emulation will soon be perfected, microsoft abandoned the concept of console exclusives and nobody gives a fuck about the shitty japanese third party companies that still stick to sony for some fucked up reason even though games like neptunia and danganronpa prove that even niche games sell better on PC than they do on sony platforms.

Microsoft doesn't lose anything from expanding the xbox brand to include W10 because W10 is their platform and encouraging people to buy W10 (and thus encouraging people to buy services like Office 365, which is where they make most of their money) only makes them more money. MS didn't abandon exclusives, they just broadened the definition of Xbox. You still can't play their games on W7, or PS, or Mac, or Linux.
Sony has far more third party exclusives which has a compounding effect. As more exclusives come out, more people are encouraged to buy their consoles. As more people buy their consoles, more third parties flock to Sony. Sony doesn't have anything to gain except a few more first party sales by moving to PC but in turn they'd lose a lot of third party sales on their platform and a lot of platform sales as people have less of a reason to buy PS4s.

They said they'll definitely release games in the future on Steam but never said what games those were. It will almost definitely be limited to smaller games and spinoffs.
Ori was super recent and that is on Steam. Don't expect stuff like mainline Halo on steam. They'll probably continue to put things like Spartan Assault and maybe even Halo Wars there but just as a way to say "Hey if you want to see the REAL Halo, hop on over to Windows 10."
