He's doing a lot in Super because Toriyama is actually not in control, the executives/investors are. They even got him to make the designs simpler so it will be easier on the terrible animators low-budget animators.

Just created a First and Second Form for my Chilly Willy Snowflake. Decided, lets actually think of a decent backstory for him instead of shit cobbled together.
Chilly Willies a long time ago had two races, Black Ice (Black obviously) and Ice (White) and this is the reason their race is near extinct, due to infighting between the two. In the past Snowflake was the Lord of one of the sects of Black Ice Chilly Willies, as opposed to a leader of all, he eventually managed to transform twice and stayed in that form, ultimately being summoned as he reached his final form to Toki Toki City, where he eventually donned some Saiyan Armor in place of his Bio-Suit, and where he met Detective Freon, a White Chilly Willy investigating the time disruptions. They bond and Snowflake takes Freon under his wing as his sidekick basically. Eventually after many battles Snowflake ended up damaged due to the limits of his Final Form and was forced to don a cybernetic bio-suit.

It's got several genuinely good moments but they're peppered in between a lot of filler. I still hold Goku vs Vegeta 2 to be one of the best fights in the series. Gohan taking the reins against Cell was also a genuinely good moment even if the Buu saga fucked it up and Super made it worse. And the build up to the fight with Frieza was actually good. Seeing Raditz as so much more powerful than everyone on Earth at that time. And then getting to Vegeta and everyone realizing how fucked they were even after Goku's arrival. And then finding out that these Saiyan dudes were chump change compared to Frieza's personal gang, barely surviving against Frieza's flamboyant special forces. And then not long after that being forced to face Frieza himself, only surviving as long as they did because Dende healed them as fast as Frieza could nearly kill them. It was all done pretty well not counting the ridiculous amount of filler.

Also all those things you listed are most shounen anime, and DBZ suffers from it pretty badly starting in the frieza saga.
Watch the original series. If those moments start to piss you off too much, watch Kai. Although Kai cut out lot of cool shit and overall is garbage, it does cut out most of the filler in the series.

It cuts out a lot of good stuff, the cuts themselves are handled poorly and are noticeable, everything is recolored and it looks like shit, the music is garbage, the opening theme is garbage, and the Japanese voice acting isn't as good as it was in the original. The english voices took a hit in quality too but that's more of an opinion.

The problem is that the show is so zero'd in on the saiyans that no one else gets any attention at all. Piccolo hasn't gotten an significant upgrade since the Cell saga. Tien hasn't done anything since then either, and even then he had to strain for it. Gohan got an upgrade during the Buu saga but hasn't done anything with it. And we've seen ZERO new tricks out of Goten and Trunks. Gotenks is their one trick and that's it, what's worse is as powerful as fusion is it falls to the wayside more and more each season. Now we're midway through super and all relevant strength levels hover around god tier. Like literal god tiers. There's no way for the previous cast to catch up and the new characters are always one off things that disappears 2 seasons laters.

Not really something worth complaining about, but I wish DBZ games would use RB1's coloring in some cases.
I liked how RB1 had Super Saiyan hair color washed out when a character didn't have an aura but it was yellow/gold when they did. That was basically how it was in the anime, when they were idle in Super Saiyan then the hair color was more bleached rather than gold. Always thought it was a nice attention to detail, although they got rid of it in RB2.
I hope they make it so you can customize your basic attacks. Like, for instance, your standard combos, or how you shoot ki blasts, or the color/shape of the ki blasts, etc.
