How much do you think Blizzard pays 4chan administration to be able to use /v/ as a marketing hub? I have a hard time believing that the mods and janitors are so retarded that as to not be able to recognize the dozens and dozens of blatant Overwatch advertisement threads posted here on a daily basis.
I will say this though. It seems that with Overwatch Blizzard shills have switched things up a bit. Instead of just making threads like "Wow this game is awesome, why aren't you playing it?" they thinly veil them with OP's like "Are you having fun? Are you bored yet? What is your favorite Character? Post your game stats! etc" these are all threads that should be removed of course because they are pretty much the reason /vg/ was created, they belong in the Overwatch General thread on /vg/, but the janitors and mods are allowing /v/ to be used as an Overwatch general discussion. I've never seen them do this with any other game before. Heck, even duplicate E3 threads are deleted promptly when E3 is still going on, yet you can come here at any given time and find multiple Overwatch threads about the same thing.
