Yeah, framerate issues aren't too much of an issue, as long as they're limited to a few instances. I remember some in Wind Waker HD, but they didn't bother me enough to mark down when and where they happen. Hell fucking yes. Swinging the sword felt cool and although it didn't even approach "realism" it allowed for different kinds of enemy designs for combat. Movement felt good with dodge rolls on the nunchuk, you couldn't just block everything with your shield and had to time your guards, aiming with bow & arrow and other gadgets with gyro felt much better than with the IR pointer, everything worked really well and was purposefully designed even when relying on motion controls. SS would have been a great game were the content of the game - the things you were made to do using these brilliant controls - actually fun and interesting, but I can't say it was. I dropped the game halfway through.

Besides shrinking the image, which makes the resolution look cleaner, the screen will almost always be the brightest thing the camera picks up, which makes the image pop from the surroundings and seem more vivid and solid.

It was fun to see ProJared play the game during Nitnendo Minute at the last crunch segment of the Treehouse stream. And actually see Jared be pro for once and blasting through the landscape at high speeds while employing cool strategies.
Which was kind of funny to see after seeing the Treehouse employees mess around. And the serious games journalists of IGN and Polygon and whatever etc somehow manage to be even worse than the Treehouse guys.
And then by the end of it all comes ProJared actually doing pretty well at the game. It was an amusing contrast to see after the two days of very questionable gameplay efforts from just about everyone else.

That really depends on the availability of weapons and the availability of repairs.
Weapon degradation can do a lot to put pressure on dungeon crawling among other things, where weapon repairs may not be readily available And where you might have to revalue where you dare to use your better weapons or not.
For instance just about any Mystery Dungeon game with few exceptions ought to be a pretty good example of weapon degradation having a purpose and complementing games.

I hate Skyrim. I hate that the horse is better than you at traversing steep hills, and I hate that the horse is still shit at it even though it can somehow get the job done.
In all the previous TES games your character was agile. And you had plenty of abilities to become very or even extremely agile.
But in Skyrim? Oh nooo... a hill. I hope I can get my horse so that I might struggle my way over it. Because I could never ever get past that bump by myself!
Trash game. Even worse is that you max your abilities way too early in Skyrim. You don't really have any means to improve your character whatsoever after a couple of dozen levels or whatever. But the game doesn't end there, but your character apparently does. It's shit. Skyrim was a huge mistake.

Probably. So far, all that seems to break are weapons, shields, and bows. All of which seem to be found plentifully from just running around as usual on the overworld.
