No, I'm not fucking hyped. I'm fucking pissed. He looks nowhere near as Frank West, his voice is different and you can see the game has stopped from walking the thin line of seriousness and parody and has instead gone full parody. The humour is now in your face instead of being subtle or just dependant of your actions. The game lost its charm because they abandoned the MT Framework engine (which gave the game a style of its own) and decided to make the story so convoluted and clichéd that you no longer feel like just a reporter who stumbles upon something greater than him.

I used to think like that too, but then I played OTR in Sandbox mode and the main campaign back to back, and the main campaign is miles better than just aimlessly killing harmless zombies.
The time management gives much more focus to the game and makes it feel quite thrilling at some parts.

I'm super hyped. DR 1 came out when I was in middle school and I spent countless hours with it. After seeing it previewed in a magazine, it was the reason I got a 360. Loved 2, loved OTR, and really enjoyed 3, even with its shortcomings and lack of color, it was still great. I really hope Rotolo is back. If not, I'll still get it, but some of that Frank magic will be gone.
Not gonna lie, as a PS4 owner I'm pretty jelly of you Xbros. The original Dead Rising is in my top 10 games of all time (it made me choose 360) and seeing Frank (even though he doesn't really seem like Frank) West back in action, and in Willamette no less, has me frothing with jealousy.
Christmas setting looks comfy as fuck. I hope you all enjoy the shit out of it, maybe someday down the line I can pick it up.

My favourite thing about Dead Rising 3 is the co-op character Dick.
Not because he says or does anything really, but because every cutscene is tailored to him.
They never show Dick leave Nick's side, but never show that he stays with Nick either.
