As someone who ones every console and a pc, I think it ultimately comes down to preference. Look at the exclusives, test out the controller, understand the differences in how Sony and Microsoft handle sales and other business, and check if any friends have either of the console

I have W10 Laptop and a an Xbox (plan on getting the S in August) and the whole "play games on the Xbox and continue them on PC and vice versa) is really rad. A lot of people think getting the W10 nullifies the Box but the fact of the mtater is W10 ports sometimes suck, splitscreen and playing old Xbox One games is easier on the Bone, and your PC won't run every W10 exclusive unless yout have a good rig, because the spec requirements sometimes are ridiculous.

nearly every pc multiplat has native xbox controller support on pc, you can literally just plug in a xbox contoller and play, it will automatically detect it
i use logitech controller with "X" mode on daily basis and it works perfectly, i never had any problem with all the multiplat games i played for 1000+ hours
but pc games seem to have more bugs and hackers(for the multiplyer), which is a fair point but for me it doesnt jusitfy buying a console
