Lots of Smash events going on today.
Low Tier City 4 has sm4sh/melee/PM, with Mang0, Hungrybox, Wizzy, Wobbles, Zer0, ESAM, Nairo, MrLz, Lunchables, Thunderzreign, etc.
Dreamhack top 8 on right now for Melee, with Leffen/Ice/Prof Pro/Android/Fuzzyness etc (armada was sick and couldn't enter).
Apex has Melee/Smash 4/Smash 64 with Mew2king, The Moon, DaBuz, Void, DJ Nintendo, Marss, SuperGirlKels, Nietono, etc. Umeki was eliminated at 9th.

I didn't know Pound, GOML, and Smash n Splash were one tournament.
Not just that but just look at when he went to the midwest and 2-stocked everyone, dominating KJH, prince abu, etc. And just yesterday he dominated Ryan Ford in Grand Finals, that's a 60-40 matchup and he made it look in falcon's favor.
You can't just look at big tournaments, you have to look at how players fare in their scene.

n0ne got 17th at pound where wizzy got 9th and s2j got 7th. only reason n0ne outplaced wizzrobe at goml was because he played a tilted m2k in losers and wizzrobe had to play mango.
And big tournaments are more important than playing at locals, it's so much harder to play when the pressure is that much higher. The two biggest tournaments are evo 2015 where n0ne got 97th and g3 where he got 33rd compared to s2j and wizzy who got top 15 which are much more important results than winning sets at locals.

I used to go to locals, but I really hated the environment. Everyone there was autistic in a way I didn't like, and the venues were always hot and fucking smelly. I always felt like such shit when cute girls would walk by the game shop on a nice day, and see us autists focused on a video game.
I have Rivals of Aether on steam, and sometimes when I'm bored I'll go and fuck around with PM characters in Dolphin, but I don't play anything except melee. I' m very curious about Project Wavedash, though.

Any tips for the Fire emblem characters side special? Speaking mainly for Roy. Is there a certain timing to use it properly for each variation? I can do the Blue version of it fairly well but whenever I do the green version my move sees to cancel and I just get punished. Also the timing does seem to be different when I am or am not hitting an enemy.

All versions (up/down/mid) have the same timing. However, the 4th down hit (the multi-hit) has a frame or two where the opponent can mash out with an Up-B (or even Nair online). Don't use the down variation when you're at kill% against anyone with a Nair or Up-B that can punish you (Ryu/Mario/Marth/Yoshi/Luigi/etc./etc./etc.)
