The "musou" meme isn't new. The combat kinda looks like Dynasty Warriors when you aren't locked on but really it looks more like the Batman Arkham games with how much your character slides to targets to hit them.

There better be a shield and weapon set. It makes sense to focus the game around two handed weapons only but it feels so restricted. I mean, sword and shield offers a unique gameplay changer in that the shield could block in another direction than the weapon so that a player can ready an attack from the right but also block to the left. The tradeoff for that could be less damage per hit, less reach, maybe having the possibility of chip damage when parrying attacks from the right, some restrictions on attacking from the left, and a shield bash move would also be fairly weak.

The way it's known to work so far is that blocking with a shield does protect you from all angles but it drains stamina.
I'm not sure if you still lose some health after blocking a heavy attack or if you can parry.

Knight is literally immune against everyone else. A blade cannot penetrate armor.
The knights are pretty much protected to the maximum. A knight can simply cut trough a samurai without a problem. Their katanas would do jackshit to the steel plated armor. Same for vikings, their armor will not help.
