I really like both BC2 and BF4 as it stands right now on PC. I haven't been on BF4 too long (bought premium on sale earlier this week) but I've been having fun. Can't fly a chopper to save my life, though. BC2 has modded servers that don't require you to own the Vietnam DLC to actually play it, which is also a plus.
I think one of the only things I genuinely hate about BC2 is the fact that you can't run diagonally. It really gets on my tits. That and the fucking awful bloom you get looking down your scope on certain snow/desert maps.
Daily reminder CoD is better. You can't jump around with a jet pack or wall jump in battlefield

BF4 finally feels as solid as its gonna get though, and we're not getting any more patches sadly so this is what we got
Sadly the nighttime Siege of Shanghai map I played a bit of on CTE didn't get released for the main game and CTE is finished now too.
If BF4 had map/mod tools it would remain a staple of the BF games for years but DICE/EA just want to abandon it now it seems, even though so many still play it for now.
Hopefully attempts to reverse engineer Frostbite 2 will go well and BF4 becomes the mainstay BF game with people testing out mods and new maps on it for years, and it slowly grows a mod community of its own, one can dream right?

The worst part of BF4 is the weapon and class balance. When I played BF3 it felt like all weapons were viable. In 4 assault rifles are vastly superior to everything else (with carbines being the second best option) and there is no point in playing with PDWs, DMRs and LMGS because they are so awful. As a result everyone plays assault class (or engies on bigger maps).

BF4 is better than 3 in just about every way, the one major exception being the unlock system - I've seen pay2win games with less grindy unlock systems.
The maps are better
Commander mode is...there, at the very least.
Vehicles are better balanced by being more specialized and the extra anti-vehicle measures work nicely (IGLA does big damage anti air at range so long as you maintain a lock, Stinger is fire and forget)

How did they fuck up the vehicle vs infantry balance so badly? Anything with 25MM HE rounds just shreds infantry while still having a ton of health or being fast as shit.
There are too many ways to spawn. Back-caps should mean something and take some skill to pull off. Not be caused by there being a couple impossible to find spawn beacons. Some points are nearly undefendable, like F on Zarod or the parking garage on the town that can flood.
The entire game is just run and gun. I can't think of any maps or points in BF4 where support can use a bipod with an LMG and do well. I don't think I've ever seen it happen. This is related to the point above, but outside one or two maps there aren't front lines anymore.

NO. BC2 maps were unbalanced on rush because the attackers could destroy all the buildings and props the defenders had for cover leaving them with a clear advantage.
BC2 rush maps also had a sparsely covered no mans land between the mcom area and the attackers spawn on some of the maps that lead to a boring stalemate.
The bf3 rush maps were far more memorable and fair to play on. They were more compact and dense with props so you could kill 8-10 people while moving from cover to cover. It was easier to kill helicopters on bf3 with the auto lock missile launchers, so skilled pilots couldn't mow down your team.

I got over that when I realized why I play Battlefield even, for chaotic 64 player combined arms warfare on cool looking maps.
If I want something slower paced, more realistic and less hectic with combined arms I'll go play ARMA 3. Especially Bornholm and Tanoa.

My aim has kinda started to improve, I have soldier sensitivty at 50 or so and zoom sensitivity at slightly lower so I can ADS now when someone is poking their out or i just see part of them on the rooftoop and can actually hit them now instead of spraying hopelessly. Previously my zoom sensitivty was same as soldier sensitivity and it wasnt helpful at all with precision aiming situations.

I play engie almost exclusively and I only play conquest64 so I've resigned myself to not having a stellar k/d and instead just try to balloon my spm as much as I can. It's worked out too, and the carbine and pdw choices are almost all fun to use so I'm not bored of the class, just kinda wish I didn't feel I had to change to engie most games that i play assault or support.

Every time I play Conquest I tripple my SPM because I am a PTFO kinda guy. And since they upped the points for flag capture I swim in score. However I don't like Conquest because having to painstakingly take tanks and other shit down by yourself gets tiresome very quickly.
Engineer is by far the most fun class in BF4 since they nerfed Medic into the ground.

If they suck or the map is open, grab a stinger and buckle down somewhere for a very long and boring game of area denial. If you're quick you can reacquire a littlebird after ecm/flares and get a mobi kill and even a kill shot if you're on your toes and the pilot sucks.
Otherwise, get a sraw and start practicing. This works against shit to moderately good players.
If the pilot is good then just do your best with manpads again because he's going to fuck your shot sideways either way. Or learn the rpg and smaw and how to lead targets.

Ignore all those shitters. The most effective way to deal with Littlebird shitters is to shoot them out with your primary. This works even better against good pilots because they always get cocky and fly extra low. Added bonus: You can steal their Littlebird if you are succesful.

Oh well where are you shooting the tanks? If you want RPGs to be most effective you need to aim for the rear. The top and sides of tank also take more danger compared to the front of the tank. Remember to keep your distance from a tank you're firing on and as soon as you launch a rocket move around if he knows where you are or if there's limited cover. Tank busting is pretty simple senpai
