You also can't play a DS game with the top screen exclusively on the GamePad. There are a bunch of viewing options like top screen on TV and bottom screen on GamePad, or both screens on GamePad but arranged in variously retarded ways, but no option to just have the top screen on the GamePad so you can play it as big as possible for games that don't really need you to touch the bottom screen. Because Nintendo logic.

I've been thinking a for a while now that they really need to update that logo. The font is fucking ugly and it's a generally uninspired design. I think if they're really trying to inject some fresh appeal with the NX then a new logo is the best place to start.

There's also the stupidity of needing to hook up a sensor bar to get to the Wii emulation menu to start Wii disc games, even if the game doesn't require a sensor bar like NSMBW. They could've added d-pad functionality to the Wii menu like the Wii U menu so you can start them, since barely any Wii U games need the sensor bar so not many people would have it permanently connected. I literally have to fish it out of the cupboard and connect it just to navigate the fucking menu whenever I feel like playing some Wii.

The WIi U failed because it didn't have any AAA titles. There was a mario game, but it was half-assed. There was no Zelda, no Animal Crossing, no Metroid, a half-assed Kirby, no F-Zero, a half-assed DK, and a half-assed Star Fox. Most importantly, it didn't have it's own version of Wii Sports to convince people that the tablet gimmick was a good idea. Nintendo carnival or whatever it was was extremely unexciting.
The only titles that helped push the system were Smash and Mario kart, and maybe Splatoon, but that was a bit too weird and came too late. The titles on the system that /v/ likes (Bayo 2, W101, Pikmin 3, XCX) were all too niche to help push it.

Personally I think that Sony's is timeless. It looks good on my grandfather's pocket radio from the 60's and it looks nice on my DS3 and phone today. As for Nintendo, some part of me wishes that they'd go back to using red as their branding colour.
