Musou means peerless and refers to games where you mow down armies of enemies with just a single dude. Officially it refers to the "Warriors" series but I'm pretty sure I've seen nips use it for the whole game type, even if the game was not made by Koei Tecmo. They usually offer very little in terms of variety but have a fanbase.
